Scams data: Mobile Apps now taking $28K per scam

Analysis from the ABA shows that scammers are finding mobile apps 7 times more lucrative in 2022 as they did in 2021.

Scams delivered via mobile apps had an average cost to consumers of $28, 251 per reported scam.
$204 million has so far been reported lost in 2022, with 11.9% of the 72,253 scams reported to have resulted in a financial loss.
