Governance Committees

The ABA’s Council provides guidance and leadership to the ABA on policy issues which affect the banking and financial sector

The ABA Strategy Committee assists the ABA Council in the performance of its responsibilities relating to strategic planning and achieving our strategic objectives, including the provision of strategic direction and guidance to the ABA on identification and implementation of major projects and assessment of strategic risks and opportunities

The ABA Consumer Outcomes Group is a joint bank and consumer representative forum for discussing and responding to existing and emerging issues to improve consumer outcomes in retail banking

The ABA Finance, Risk and Audit committee (FRAC) assists the ABA Council by making recommendations to Council for endorsement on issues such as the financial management of the ABA, effectiveness of the ABA’s internal control and risk management systems, audit processes, monitoring compliance with laws, regulations, internal business policies and practices and protecting the ABA’s assets

The Member Reporting provides monthly reports and give our Members an update on projects and advocacy works that Australian Banking Association have been working on
