Stephen Hallyburton

Stephen is a Policy Director in the Economy Team at the Australian Banking Association. Prior to the ABA, Stephen held a range of public sector roles including in the Commonwealth and Queensland Treasuries, in the Offices of the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, and at ASIC. He has nearly two decades of experience in policy development, legislative change and implementation, and engagement with financial regulators.

Stephen holds Bachelors of Economics (hons) and Laws, and a Master of Laws specialising in commercial law. He has practised law in New South Wales.
