Parliamentary Update: 

  • As the Federal Election Campaign approaches its midway point, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been travelling in Tasmania and Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese is headed to Perth for the Labor Party’s formal campaign launch on Sunday.

Regulatory Update:

  • APRA released its Monthly Authorised Deposit-taking Institution Statistics (MADIS) publication for March 2022.
  • ASIC released its quarterly update for 1 January to 31 March 2022.
  • AFCA released new information on its response to the Independent Review and how it has commenced or progressed work on 9 of the 14 recommendations including a new funding model and the modernising of technology to enhance timeliness.
