The Prime Minister announced additional measures targeted at imposing severe costs on the Russian economy by disconnecting its key banks from the international financial system and disrupting Russian trade and investment flows.

Anna Bligh headed an ABA campaign raising awareness of the industry’s support package for customers impacted by the floods in NSW and QLD. Her appearances on TV news, morning radio and national broadsheets, has lead to wider coverage, including mentions on the ABC’s Q+A program.
RBA’s statement on monetary policy maintains the cash rate target at 10 basis points and the interest rate on Exchange Settlement balances at 0%. “While inflation has picked up, it is too early to conclude that it is sustainably within the target range.” said Lowe.
