RBA: Corporate Plan 2021/22

1 September 2021

The expected recovery in 2022 will be underpinned by accommodative policy settings and household and business balance sheets that are generally in good shape. On the nominal side of the economy, underlying inflation and wage outcomes remain subdued. A pick-up in inflation and wages growth is expected, but is likely to be only gradual and modest.

User and industry expectations concerning the speed of payments, and the capacity to combine information with payments, have been increasing.

The most important focus area will be for the Bank to support the Australian economy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The other focus areas will strengthen the capability of the Bank to successfully deliver on its mission and key objectives.
